Explanation of Common Problems
There are many circumstances where a station may not be working.
RealPlayer is dependent on the broadcaster's server, the Internet, and the speed of the
your Internet connection. This allows for possible problems to occur.
Common problems are when:
- A station does not broadcast 24 hours a day (M-F, weekends only, or certain hours of the day)
- College breaks for college stations
- Internet congestion
- Proxy misconfiguration
- The broadcaster has changed the Web address of
the broadcast and vTuner has the old address.
Most of these problems can be resolved by or explained with vTuner. If
a station does not broadcast 24/7 a note will be present next to the Play
button. Incorrect Web addresses are resolved with frequent updates and
checks of the vTuner list.
