Replay Radio Integration with vTuner 4.0

How do I get the Record feature in vTuner?
The "record" feature will appear whenever you use the "Schedule" feature. You can schedule a show when you are browsing the "On Now" or "Station Listing" shows or you can schedule a station or future recording by right clicking on the station when you are browsing the "Listings" and then clicking on "Schedule".
If you do not see the record button, then you should upgrade your vTuner 4.0 Please click here to download. (for version 4.0 only)

When I press the record button nothing happens. How do I get Replay Radio to run?
Please download and run RR_radio.reg to fix this problem. We are currently looking into why this happens.

vTuner

What does 'Get Link' mean?

This means that vTuner is not allowed to directly link to the station. Instead of playing the station immediately we bring you to the 'Extra Link' screen that will help you get the link yourself.

How do I get back to this 'Extra Link' screen later?

You can always get back to this screen by selecting the station then select 'Extra Link' from the Favorites Menu.

How do I stop vTuner from starting up automatically?

  1. From the Action menu select Options
  2. The Options tabs should now appear, the general tab is set as default
  3. Uncheck the start up option

How do I update vTuner?

vTuner will update when vTuner is in use. You can always check the last time vTuner was updated by accessing the 'About vTuner' screen from the Info Menu. We update the list weekly.

How do I change Faceplates in vTuner Plus? - vTuner Plus 2.0 ONLY

From the action menu select 'Options' then select the Faceplate tab. If no faceplates are listed, then you may have to use vTuner and then vTuner will update and receive the faceplates in a few minutes.

I am having trouble reading the screen with the default faceplate, the green on black hurts my eyes. - vTuner 2.0 ONLY

Please download and run Text.reg. This file will change the dark green text to white, and change the black background to gray. This should help in the readability of the screen.
Text.reg.

I do not see many stations, I thought there were thousands?

You may be looking only at the presets. Use the browse and search tab to find all the stations.

I do not have any events.
vTuner has to update before any events will appear, please use vTuner and the events should come down automatically.

I see the events, but the Play button is greyed out.

We usually do not have the events playable directly from vTuner. This is done for two reasons.
  1. We encourage visiting the event site since it has extra information about
      the event.
  2. We do not usually know the direct link of event until the day of the
event Click on the Go to Web Site button to visit the site and then play
      the event from the site.

Proxy Setup

If you are having trouble with vTuner updating, check to see if you use a proxy server. vTuner uses the http protocol to update stations and events. vTuner uses the same settings as your web browser. In vTuner select the Action menu and then select the Options item, and then select the 'Proxy' tab.
  1. Click on the 'Use a proxy..' checkbox
  2. Type in the proxy server address (without the "http://" in front)
  3. Type in the proxy server port
  4. To confirm the proxy setting, use the 'Test Proxy Settings' button

Most of my stations are now missing, but before they were all available.

Hi, this problem can rarely happen. You can solve this by downloading and running this file - Fixit.exe.

Picture quality is poor, what is wrong?

The picture quality is dependent on the output of the station broadcasting. Video will not look comparable to normal TV unless the station broadcasts at a high rate (>80k). You must also have a fast enough connection to view a high speed station. A faster machine will not solve this issue.

Station taken out - I had WXYZ set as a favorite and now it is gone, where did it go.

When a station's server goes down we take the stations out of the list. We constantly check the stations for up time, when they come back up we will put them back in.

Buffering - The stations I listen to, are always stopping and starting.

The buffering can not be avoided to an extent. The buffering can be attributed to your Modem connection, your ISP, the Internet traffic in general, and the station broadcasting. The most likely culprits are Internet traffic and the station's server being overloaded.
Doing other Internet intensive work may increase buffering as well.

Clear Text (vTuner 2.0 ONLY)- I searched on some very bad words, and I need to clear out the search cache.

Please download and run sclear.reg. http://www.vtuner.com/vtunerapp/vtuner2/download/sclear.reg This file will clear out the search list.
- NT Issues -

I keep on getting a Missing Files error, what is wrong?

User rights: Be sure that you have installed vTuner under your own login
and have enough rights to overwrite system files.

- Asian Windows -

Asian Windows

There is a known problem with vTuner and Asian version of Windows. This problem also happens in XP with an Asian language pack being used. Please use the following file to fix this problem if you are using
vTuner 3.0 ONLY: Fix vTuner 3.0

vTuner 4.0 ONLY: Fix vTuner 4.0

vTuner 2.0 ONLY: Fix vTuner 2.0

- RealPlayer or system related problems -

vTuner says that I do not have RealPlayer installed, but it is installed, and working fine.

Make sure that RealPlayer is the default for RealMedia files. Programs like the Windows Media Player can take over these extensions. In RealPlayer, select the Options menu, then select Preferences, and then select the Upgrade Tab. Be sure that you have checked this option on "Reclaim RealNetwork's media types without asking".

I constantly receive error 19, or error 14, what is the problem?

Many stations are now broadcasting in the latest version of RealPlayer. You should upgrade RealPlayer to listen to these stations.

When I play a station I receive a Windows error message saying it crashed in PNMCRT28.dll

Please uninstall and reinstall RealPlayer

I do not have any sound after I installed vTuner.

vTuner does not change any sound settings. Please check that your system volume control is set correctly, check your basic system sounds are working, and that the RealPlayer volume control is not too low or muted.

When ever I play a station vTuner crashes but then RealPlayer launches and Plays the station.

This problem usually occurs when a program called Netsonic is used, or other programs that monitor & modify Internet activity such as Advertisement blockers. Please try to disable programs mentioned above and then see if the problem reoccurs.

Every Time I play a station vTuner or RealPlayer Crashes.

This problem usually occurs when a program called Netsonic is used, or other programs that monitor & modify Internet activity such as Advertisement blockers, or some personal firewalls such as Mcafee. Please try to disable programs mentioned above, and then see if the problem reoccurs.
